Clearwater, Fla. [December 4, 2012] — The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted CSDVRS, LLC (doing business as ZVRS) an unprecedented five-year certification for the provision of video relay service (VRS). ZVRS is the first provider to receive such certification under the FCC’s stricter certification process.
Based on the company’s recertification application, on-site FCC inspections of ZVRS’ facilities and operations, the FCC determined the company “currently provides VRS in compliance with the Commission’s rules and orders.” The certification deems ZVRS eligible for continued compensation for the provision of VRS through 2017.

“We are honored and extremely proud that the FCC has shown confidence in the way we do business,” said Sean Belanger, CEO of CSDVRS, LLC. “We look forward to continuing to work together with the Commission and other VRS providers to ensure that deaf and hard of hearing Americans will continue to have access to the most functionally equivalent means of telephone communication.”
“Everyone at ZVRS works hard to provide the best VRS experience possible—one that meets or exceeds both FCC requirements and customer expectations,” said Tim Rarus, ZVRS senior vice president of sales. “We are never satisfied with ‘good enough,’ and this certification reinforces our commitment for the long haul. You can count on The Z to continue to develop exciting new features and offer the highest level of services to VRS users for years to come.”
