Business Analyst – Tableau

Description:
We are an innovative video communication company which provides videophone service to the deaf and hard of hearing. We are currently seeking the right person to join our team as a Business Analyst with Tableau experience.

Responsibilities:

Business Analyst/ Tableau responsibilities and qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Drive strategic business decision making through detailed analytics, insights and Real-Time reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and financial results
• Use Tableau to create innovative executive dashboards, scorecards, and weekly/monthly reports on the status of key business measurements
• Demonstrated ability to present and provide meaningful business insights from data, not just produce reports.
• Identify areas for improvement and increased sales and marketing opportunities of our clients through various comparative analytics, statistical and data mining techniques.
• Collect and analyze large data sets from internal systems
• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and analysis templates using internal tools and Tableau.
• Model data for ad hoc and pre-built reporting.
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions interface with executive management, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
• Develop interactive Tableau dashboards by utilizing Tableau features such as parameters, sets, calculated fields and table calculations, user filters, action filters and applying advanced technical charts.
• Responsible for the full life cycle of Tableau reporting solutions, including research, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, training & support for report development projects.
• Work with users to define requirements for Tableau reports and support the implementation and customization of Tableau reports;
• Define, retrieve, and analyze large datasets using SQL, and Excel to drive and define operational solutions and approaches

• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Demonstrated data analysis experience and ability to understand the core business and key success drivers of our customers
• Prior experience mining sales and marketing data, discovering insights to drive key business initiatives
• Outstanding writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others. Summarize key insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable presenting technical findings to business leaders at all levels, including senior management (VP level decision-makers)
• A keen eye for detail is required
• Proven ability to work under pressure with deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, start up environment
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Ability to learn quickly, follow direction, and execute tasks independently
• Ability to work with others and without supervision
• Ability to dive deep on data analysis or technical issues to come up with effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible results (revenue, seller launches, new product features, etc.).
• Knowledge of ASL is a plus

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.
• Minimum 3 years’ Tableau development/visualization experience including designing and developing reports and dashboards with large data volumes.
• Experience in forecasting, analysis and comprehensive business reporting to provide accurate and insightful recommendations.
• The ability to think strategically and implement methods to ensure procedures is completed at the highest standard.
• Able to build solid internal and external relationships at all levels.
• Must possess a client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint a must.
• Expert-level knowledge of using SQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data.
• Must be proficient in the use and maintenance of Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop: 5 years
• Tableau server maintenance, technical support, troubleshooting, and scheduling:
• Telecom experience a plus

Required education:

• B.S. degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Math or related field preferre
