How to download the ZVRS app on your iPhone 4:

1. If you have already registered your iPhone 4 number in your My Profile account, you can skip this step and go directly to step 2. If you don't have a profile set up with The Z™, first create a free My Profile account before moving on to steps 2 through 9.
2. To download the ZVRS app, open "App Store" on your iPhone 4.
3. Click "Search" and type "zvrs" in the search field.
4. Click on the ZVRS app icon that appears.
5. Click "Free."
6. Click "Install."
7. Enter your iTunes account password.
8. After it has finished installing, select the "Information" icon button to show the information screen.
9. Enter your username and password from My Profile, your iPhone 4 number and a videophone number for the ZVRS VI to call you back if the iPhone 4 call disconnects for any reason.
10. When you've finished entering the information, click the "Done" button to save the information.

Need to make a call while on the go? Follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have WiFi access available. (WiFi is required to run ZVRS app with FaceTime.)
2. From the ZVRS app home screen, choose to place a call from your iPhone's Contacts or to manually dial the number you would like to call.
3. The VI will establish the FaceTime session to your iPhone 4 and place your call.

What do I need to make ZVRS calls on iPhone 4?

Can I buy iPhone 4 from The Z™?

No. The Z™ is not selling iPhone 4. You can purchase the iPhone from any AT&T Wireless or Apple Store, order online, or call 800.331.0500 (voice).

How much does it cost to use the ZVRS app?

There is no charge to download the ZVRS app to your iPhone 4 or to use the app to place ZVRS calls from iPhone 4.

Can a hearing person call me through ZVRS on iPhone 4?

At this time, the ZVRS app is only for placing calls from iPhone 4. You are not able to receive ZVRS calls from hearing people on iPhone 4.

Can I call someone's videophone to talk to them point-to-point using the ZVRS app?

No. As the name implies, this is only for use to place a ZVRS call to a hearing person. iPhone 4 is not a videophone and, thus, cannot connect directly to an actual videophone. The only way to place a “point-to-point” call on iPhone 4 is to call another iPhone 4 customer. FaceTime works only when connected to another device that uses FaceTime, and at this time FaceTime is only available on iPhone 4.

Will the ZVRS app work on mobile devices other than iPhone 4?

At this time, FaceTime is needed to use the ZVRS app, and FaceTime is currently unique to the Apple iPhone 4.

Can I use the ZVRS app to place VCO Plus or HolaVRS on iPhone 4?

No. At this time, VCO Plus and HolaVRS are not available through the ZVRS app.

Will the ZVRS app on iPhone 4 work with 911?

If you make your emergency call by contacting ZVRS through the ZVRS app and requesting to be connected to 911, we will not be able to determine the location of your phone using GPS. The VI will need to ask you for your location, which will then be relayed to the 911 operator.

However, if you manually dial 911 on your iPhone 4 yourself, the call will NOT connect to ZVRS, and it will work like placing a 911 call through TTY/TDD. After calling 911, don’t hang up. Just leave the phone call connected to 911, and the GPS should work to direct emergency services to where you and your iPhone 4 are located.
