Z Alert

Don’t miss a call!

Z Alert is an innovative notification service offered by The Z. You don’t have to worry about missing a VP (point-to-point) or VRS call if you are in the next room, outside in the yard or anywhere in the vicinity of your videophone!

Customers can sign up and begin receiving text message notification when your call is about to come through.

If you are unable to reach your videophone to accept the call, don’t worry!
You will receive a text message to your PDA or pager notifying you of the video mail delivery to your e-mail address to retrieve at your convenience. Hearing callers calling through VRS can leave a My Mail video message for you through a video interpreter.

Instructions

Ready to set up Z Alert?

1. Click here to log into your My Profile account, then click on “My Videophones” in the sidebar menu.
   
   
2. You will see a page showing all of your videophones. Click the phone number of the videophone for which you want to receive Z Alerts.
   
   
3. Click the “Z Alert” box to enable Z Alert.
   
   
4. Additional fields will appear. Fill out the email address(es) for the email account or pager address where you want to send your Z Alerts.
   
   
5. Don’t forget to click “Save” when done.
   
   
6. Repeat steps 1–5 if you want to receive Z Alerts for your other videophones. (Each has the ability to be set up on its own, with the alerts sent to different addresses.)
